The Trial involves the prosecution of the detained former Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Zunair Ahmed Palak, and the former adviser to the prime minister – also his mother – for Information and Communication Technology for crimes against humanity.
Palak was detained by immigration officers on August 6, 2024 when he tried to leave the country. He was subsequently shown arrested by the ICT in relation to an alleged offence of crimes against humanity on. Joy is out of the country.
The trial is taking place in Court 1 of the ICT.
