Age: 32 years
Father’s Name: [redacted]
Mother’s Name: [redacted]
Address: [redacted] District: Kushtia.
I am the son of the martyr Bablu Farazi.
On August 5, 2024, during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, my father, along with many others from the area, joined the protests. Under the provocation and instruction of the Fascist Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, the District Awami League President and General Secretary, and leaders of other leftist parties, a team led by the former SP of Kushtia, Polash Kanti Roy, and SI Saheb Ali opened fire indiscriminately on the students and the public. My father, Bablu Farazi, along with a total of six people, were brutally murdered.
On August 5, 2024, at 3:45 PM, I received a call on my mobile phone from my father’s phone number, made by an unidentified person. He asked who the owner of the phone was. I replied that it was my father. The unidentified caller then said, “Your father has been shot. We are taking him to Sadar Hospital. Please come quickly.”
Upon receiving the news, I rushed to the hospital only to find my father’s bullet-riddled body lying there. With the assistance of the protesters from the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, we brought my father to our own home. A total of three people died in our area. The funeral prayers (Janazah) for all three were held together at the Hatosh Haripur Central Graveyard, and the burial was completed there.
Later, after I had recovered somewhat, I learned the names of the aforementioned accused through social media and newspapers. Many leaders of leftist parties were involved with the fascist Awami League. I filed a correct complaint with the Tribunal regarding my father’s murder. The Investigating Officer questioned me. This is my Deposition.
Cross-examination by Mansurul Haque Chowdhury (In favour of Hasanul Haq Inu) has been declined.
The next date for the hearing is set for January 6, 2026.
