Witness 4: Md. Yakub
Testimony of Md. Yakub
My name is Md. Yakub. I own a salon named “Nusrat Hair Style” in the Rampura area. My residence is on the seventh floor above the salon.
During the July 2024 movement, on a Friday, at approximately 3:00 p.m., I was at my shop. Upon seeing disturbances outside, I closed the shop and came down to the parking area on the ground floor of my building.
I saw Musa’s father and Musa’s grandmother, who are residents of the sixth floor of our building, standing downstairs. We were all standing in one place. At that time, suddenly a bullet fired by the police from the direction of the police station struck Musa on the head.
Immediately, Musa’s father left for the hospital with Musa. The bullet passed through Musa’s head and struck Musa’s grandmother in the abdomen as she was standing beside him. Musa’s grandmother fell while trying to go up the stairs.
We held Musa’s grandmother and took her to the hospital. That evening, at approximately 6:00–7:00 p.m., Musa’s father called me to ask about his grandmother’s condition. I informed him that she was in the hospital. Later, I spoke with Musa’s grandmother as well.
The next morning, I came to know that Musa’s grandmother had died. On that same day, I learned that Nadim was killed by police gunfire in front of the mosque. The IO has investigated me. This is my testimony.
